CALIFORNIA LAGER - ANCHOR BREWING CO.
A great looking lager, big white head that laced the glass all the way down. Lots of life, some full on bubble action! (that was for Andy). I'm glad I bought a few lagers in this delivery as I have been drinking various other beer types lately and its actually proved something to me. I want flavour. Yes this has something of a flavour, but its hard to pin down. Its clean, crisp and refreshing and there is a kind of yeasty (I think) finish to it. Its ok, but a bit ordinary. I think having followed the Firestone Pale 31 with its magic flavours this tells me that my Lager days are numbered. Brewed in San Francisco to a Gold Rush era recipe using Californian Cluster Hops. 4.9% volume.
