INNIS & GUNN ORIGINAL - OAK AGED BEER

Not tried any from Innis & Gunn before, and I'm not sure I will again. This is matured in oak casks and allows the beer to take on flavours from the casks, with hints of oak, toffee and vanilla - according to the bottle. It actually tastes like someone has spiked my beer with a cheeky Tia Maria shot. Makes the whole thing very sweet, and sickly.  I believe they do others that are matured in Whisky and Brandy casks, I'm gonna pass on them. I'm all for innovation, but sometimes I wonder.
