ASPALL Waddle Goose 4.6abv
This is unusual for Aspalls in that the bottle is a different style from all their other bottles. Were they not sure weather it was up to the standard of the other cyders they make. They need not worry this a good proper apple cyder.Blended from apples not usually used in cyder.Cant think why that is.Very good.

No. 2

Reubens brews

Summer IPA 6.5%

The owners of this brewery are originally from the UK and they moved to Seattle. This is different to the last beer. It does invoke the summer feeling even if summer is over with. It has a sort of piney smell which I do like. Im enjoying this beer.

No. 1

Sliver City Brewery
Nice Day IPA 5.5%

A very thin and watery IPA. Lacks flavour. Not enjoying this

Stone Triple IPA

Stone Brewery

RuinTen Triple IPA 10.8%

I have been saving this for when I get a weekend off from work, just doesn't seem to happen. Well I do need beer tokens right? The only reason I've been saving this is due to the strength of the beer and also the last time I had a session on double IPA'S I felt the room was spinning around. Being drunk has it's downsides!

So this beer was first released as stone were celebrating their tenth anniversary of Ruination you can see my review of it here.  Now I cant seem to remember what that was like however I'm seem to be enjoying this. I don't seem to be noticing the strength of the beer. Its a hop monster which you would expect from a Triple IPA. It has a lovely malt backbone which does not impact from the overall taste. This is also my first triple IPA if you excluded the Brewdog #hashtag beer which really doesn't count as it's got cherries in it. Its got a bitter taste to it, but it doesn't have any of the other flavours you usually get from IPA'S.

I bought this from Brewdog's website and to say it was for a special occasion as its not cheap. Yes it did cost me £13 for the bottle which is a lot for a beer, but then it does have triple the ingredients and its also a big bottle ( apparently it's a bomber which means 660ml).

Hop Highway

Belching Beaving Brewery
Hop Highway IPA 7.3%

I cant seem to remeber where I bought this. This beer is named because they or someone decided to build a highway that just so happened to connect lots of breweries together. This is a very good IPA. I seem to find that any IPA'S that are around the 7% mark I seem to to enjoy.

A breakfast IPA!

Lervig brewery
Oat IPA 7.2%

So this beer is what craft beer is all about. Its about using the best ingredients and doing it in a modern way or its about innovating with new ingredients that the germans would turn their nose up or dare to call it beer. This uses oats in the brew it also uses two different hops Nelson Sauvin  and Hallertau which are meant to give a grapefruit taste, not picking up on that. Nice beer if very different to want I was expecting.

Peacher Man

Beavertown x Heretic
Peacher Man 6.2%
Peach cobbler wit

I was slighlty nervous about this beer, Ive never got on with wheat beers. I mean peach juice, vanilla pods and lemon zest in a beer, what are the brewer's thinking! ( Andy would be saying this is a brewers wet dream ) But this is surprising it's very refreshing and im not picking up on any of the above ingredients  ( maybe because I'm tired ). As for the strength I thought it was much lower than this possibly around the 3% mark. Good jobs guys

Fourpure's Westcoast IPA

Fourpure Shapeshifter 6.4%
West Coast IPA

This is a beer that i saw honestbrew's website recently and thought I haven't seen this before, it's not on their own website to buy. I can detect a pineapple smell and taste, the can says grapefruit and mango which I'm not picking up on. It does have a sweet taste which is slightly unusual for a beer that's 6.4%. Usually a beer that has a high ABV  tends to be rather sweet this is not that high for IPA and therefore I would not expect it to be sweet. Not sure I like this only because of it's sweet taste.

Lervig pilsner

Lervig Pilsner 4.7%

I'm  sure that you know I've had a few beers from Lervig brewery and I've not tried their lager so I thought I would try it now. As lager go its okay nothing special and doesn't really have much going for it. I think it's good just I'm not a big lager fan, if I had a choice of this or some mass produced muck I would choice this

PAULANER Octoberfest Bier 6.0 abv
Apologies for the lack of a photo for this beer but you can be assured it looked a lot like the last two.
And perhaps more importantly and unsuprisingly tasted much the same too.The one thing this had going for it against the other two was it was an easy drink.Just slipped down.Could drink this easier in a session than the other two.Nice.

SPATEN Octoberfestbier5.9abv
This one nearly as good as the Lowenbrau and not quite as strong. This is a little less distinctive but not bad for all that. This brewery has been going since 1397 so must be getting something right.

LOWENBRAU Oktoberfestbier 6.1abv
In an attempt to give pointers to those of you off to Bavaria to sample Octoberfest,a gentle reminder that all is not what it seems and you may be offered no choice at some venues or be unaware that there is choice at others. This is Lowenbraus version of an octoberfest beer. Those in the uk may remember the Lager sold under that name on draught in pubs here.Thankfully this does not resemble that. This is a good strong Lager with plenty of taste, but at 6.1 abv the nights will get a little shorter in drinking terms I think.

THORNBRIDGE BREWERY Saint Petersburg Imperial Russian Stout 7.4abv
Everything an imperial Russian stout should be .Banging.Those Romanovs new how to drink didnt they.Powerfull and smouldering.Good job Thornbridge.

Brewdog - Beer 18

Brewdog Barrel aged Albino Squid Assassin 9.2%

A while ago I had their Albino Squid Assassin can and I thought it was brilliant, based on that review I felt I should try the barrel aged version. It has a very strange flavour its toffee like, like the last one but has a whisky like flavour. I dont like whisky. This isnt a beer for not downing very quickly it's too savour and enjoy. I seem to be struggling to drink this, which I'm not putting down to being pissed but that its whisky flavour is slightly putting me off

Blood Orange DIPA

Beavertown x Boneyard
Blood Orange DIPA 9.1%

This is a limited edition beer that's a joint effort with a American brewery called Boneyard. Its double IPA with blood orange. This is very good and the strength of 9.1% I'm not noticing it infact I thought it was much lower!

Beavertown

Beavertown Lupuloid IPA 6.7%

Apparently beavertown waited for a while to get their IPA right so they experiment with different hops and malts and whatever else. This is really good and I'm enjoying this. My only thing I'm going to complain about is the bright PINK can. It looks like my niece painted the can, however i do like the hop monster

Rye beer

Howling hops Rye Wit 5.7%

Pale ale

This is a rye beer from the superb London based brewery. I saw this on the honestbrew.co.uk website and thought I must have this as I've liked everything else from the brewery. I'm having this beer with a spicy pizza and it goes so well together.

The beer doesnt have what ive come to expect from rye beers however it's very good.

Seattle beer 3

Two beers brewery

Wonderland trail IPA 7.1%

Now this is a proper ipa from Two Beers brewery. It has gorgeous citrus flavours . It uses four different hops to great effect. Hops used are Amarillo,  Citra, Cascade and i cant remember the last one (sorry). A very good beerand its a shame I only have one. This is my last beer from two beers and they have been for the most part been very good, but this one is by far the best of the three.

Seattle Beer 2

Two beers brewery
EVO IPA 6.2%

Wow what a beer. It's better than my last one. It's like a bitter but with all the flavours of an IPA. It has a nice clean & crisp taste. This reminds me of a IPA that was traditionally made in the UK. Really enjoyed this should of bought two

Seattle Beer 1

Two beers brewery

Trailhead ISA 4.8%

I recently saw on one of the websites that I buy from that they had some beers from Seattle. This is a India session ale and to me this is maybe to stong for a session. But i did like this. A very good IPA although lacking some of the flavour that I've come to expect from America.

BRISTOL BEER FACTORY Ultimate Stout7.5abv
Mrs andynapoleon and I shared this beer as otherwise it was trying to prize it out of her cold dead hand.Joking.very nice good toasted oat flavour.Belgium yeasts.Excellent.

HAWKSHEAD BREWERY Brodies Prime Porter4.9abv
A very thin porter and the overwhelming taste of treacle is a bit unpleasant.I admire this brewery for their range but this is not their highpoint.

BAD SEED BREWERY Saison6.0abv
I didnt get honey, ginger or grains of paradise.I didnt get any of that it seems a lot of flavour not to get.But it was a refreshing beer.I liked it.Couldnt tell you what flavours I did get which means it may have been a bit overcomplicated.Bad seed brewery are in north Yorkshire.

WINDERMERE PALE ALE - HAWKSHEAD BREWERY

3rd Hawkshead beer, and the quality continues. A classically hued pale straw colour, not pale in flavour however. Fresh tasting, but with what seems to be their signature - the Maris Otter malted barley bitter finish. The perfect foil to the hops in the mix - three english varieties and one US  - Citra.  Brewed by Hawkshead Brewery in Staveley, Cumbria.  4% volume.

LAKELAND GOLD - GOLDEN ALE - HAWKSHEAD BREWERY

My 2nd from Hawkshead, and its flaming nigh perfect. Most golden ales seem to push the citrus, zesty side of things and it gets a bit monotonous. This is weighted more towards the bitter finish, which is long and unexpected but very welcome indeed. Its refreshing but the bitterness makes it a very interesting proposition and is going on my favourites list. Made with Lakeland water, full flower hops, Cascade as the signature hop and Maris Otter malted barley. Hawkshead are in the Lake District, Staveley - Cumbria.  4.4% volume.
