More cloudwater beers

Wanted to have another beer from Cloudwater which are based in Manchester.
So first up.

Session IPA E.431 4.5%

Its a nice session beer a little thin and weak. I didn't pick up on any flavour from the hops. Which is a slight disappointment.  A good all round beer but nothing to write home about. On another note no idea what E.431 is although it does list it as a hop. Not sure I like then idea of a E number for a hop. This beer uses German hops along with Citra & Amarillo. I have never been a big fan of German hops.

Next
beer

IPA Citra 6.5%

This is interesting I believe it has a maybe slight aroma of aniseed not 100% sure on that. Very drinkable very very tasty. This to me is a proper ipa and I like the flavours. This has been made with the 2015 harvest of Citra hops and I do like the flavours from the those hops. It also has fruit esters  coming from yeast used.

After that one was so good I thought I would have another this time something a little bit different a IPL an Indian pale lager

IPL Centennial 6.2%

This lager uses 5 different hops which is a lot for a lager it's also quite high for a lager and I'm complaining about that. It doesn't have much carbonation for a lager so also good. It also has lovely fruity smells that you come to expect from IPA'S also a huge plus in its favour. They describe it as a thirst quenching beer and it does that. I drank this very quickly indeed and I'm not sure it touch the sides. On days like this I would very happy to have a few more of these whilst sitting in the garden and watching the world go past.

Last beer. Sorry for the long post. Want to show of Cloudwater's beer in one post.

Pioneer Lager 4.8%

This has a lemony smell and a lemony taste to it. Very good lager infact i wouldn't of know its a lager. It has no carbonation which is not know off. It using British grown Pioneer hops and pilsner malt I think the over ridering taste you get is lemon. I know what you are thinking lemon is sharp flavour you can trust me when I say its not a sharp flavour at all.

If this or the pervious lager was on at my local i would chose the IPL over this just becausei like the IPA style of beer.

This is all my beers from Cloudwater now and I have to say that I have yet to find a bad one, most were brilliant and maybe a couple were not so good. One thing I like about Cloudwater is they dont seem to make a beer thats always brewed. They brew beers seasonally and I like that. Also they list on the back of their bottles whats gone in to make this beer. This has to be appalled its great to know what has gone into making this beer.
