CYRIL THE MAGNIFICENT - DUNKEL WEISSE STYLE WHEAT BEER
 HIGH HOUSE FARM BREWERY

My first from High House Farm Brewery of Matfen, Northumberland. Went there last week and did the tour, small brewery but very interesting, Paul the Brewer was a smashing bloke. This type of beer is not one I'd normally go for, but when in Rome... Lovely chestnut brown colour, good carbonation, minimal white head that goes the distance. Quite a dark and toasty biscuit flavour, not really my bag but its growing on me as we get through it. Named after the cat at High House Farm, its a great label, and there's definitely not enough cats on labels. Made with wheat, barley and Tettnang hops. 5.5 % volume.
