Rye 2

Barrelhouse Brewing Co.

Rye IPA 6.5%

Recently I was looking on the website Alesbymail.co.uk and I  saw this bottle and I saw a few others that I felt I've  got to try. Firstly I got to say sorry the only picture of the beer I got is this which took to put on Facebook. I was sitting in the garden enjoying this pint and reading this amazing book, but it was getting cold (that's October for you, also just because the sun is out doesn't mean its warm)

The most important bit, what's the beer like?

The beer has fruityness in the form of citrus and apricot but that disappears to a lovely spicy finish. Rye beer do have spicy flavour to them. They are also very difficult to get in the UK, most brewers don't make a Rye beer however that is changing. It uses three different hops which are Sorachi Ace, Centennial & Chinock. This beer would be great to have with reds meats & curry's. This is brewed in Paso Robles, California,  USA

I have since tried to get another bottle of this unfortunately it's all gone. I know I've been posting a lot lately I'm trying to clear my cupboard of all the beers that I've got this is due to the fact Ive been given quite a few british ales. Whilst I normally like them I now seem to be drinking far more IPA'S  than I ever use to. I'm often drinking them only end up throwing down the sink. Not sure if my taste buds have changed now.
